# ExitProof Terms of Service

Effective September 26, 2026.

ExitProof is operated by Davisville Labs LLC. By using ExitProof, you agree to these terms for the public site, machine interfaces, free assessments, and paid specialist operations.

## Service scope

ExitProof provides bounded pre-payment safety and reversibility information. It can describe supplied transaction terms, maintained policy evidence, payment-boundary facts, deadlines, penalties, recovery signals, and explicit uncertainty. It does not decide whether an agent should buy.

ExitProof does not provide legal advice, chargeback authority, merchant representation, financial advice, or a guarantee that a merchant, payment provider, court, or other third party will accept a cancellation, refund, reversal, or dispute.

## Paid operations and billing

Current prices and payment methods are published through the live capability and payment-challenge surfaces. A payment challenge or attempted payment is not a completed purchase. Settlement and result delivery are separate states.

Unsupported, unsafe, malformed, conflicting, or unactionable requests must fail before an ExitProof payment challenge. If settlement succeeds but delivery fails, the documented recovery path is to retry the identical request with the identical payment credential so the prior settlement can be recovered without another charge when the payment rail supports it.

For duplicate charges, incorrect charges, or a settled operation that cannot be recovered through the documented retry path, contact hello@davisvillelabs.com. Billing corrections and refunds are handled according to applicable law, the payment provider's rules, and any terms expressly presented with the transaction.

## Caller responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of information you submit, for deciding whether to act on an ExitProof result, for authenticating merchants and counterparties outside the narrow ExitProof contract, and for complying with laws, agreements, approval requirements, and internal spending policies that apply to your use.

Do not use ExitProof to probe private systems without authorization, submit credentials or secrets, evade access controls, facilitate unlawful transactions, or misrepresent an ExitProof result as legal clearance, purchase authorization, or a guaranteed outcome.

## Evidence and availability

Public policies, merchant terms, payment metadata, and upstream services can be incomplete, delayed, changed, unavailable, or wrong. ExitProof is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. A missing policy does not establish that no legal right exists, and a reversible result is not a recommendation to enter a transaction.

## Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Davisville Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or third-party decisions arising from use of ExitProof. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

## Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
